Controversial adverts from a U.S. fertility clinic
offering 'illegal' sex selective IVF have sparked outrage.
The Washington Centre for Reproductive Medicine has
created the ads with a picture of a young ethnic boy and girl in traditional
Indian dress, under the heading ‘Create the family you want: Boy or girl’.
The Bellevue, Washington, clinic's ad was published in
the print edition of the weekly Indo-Canadian Voice paper, and on the
publication's website, despite the process of sex selection being illegal in
Canada.
