An advance copy of the report into the death of Savita
Halappanavar was given to her husband on Good Friday who it is reported has
decided to take some time in responding to it see independent report.
Praveen Halappanavar has been invited to make observations
on the report and if he so wishes, to meet the chairman of the inquiry,
Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran, head of obstetrics and gynaecology at
University of London's St George's Hospital. It is understood that the report,
will be published by Health Minister James Reilly, after Mr Halappanavar has
had an opportunity to respond to it.
